Please read this information carefully before submitting your reservation details to us.
Country Lanes is a trading name of Cyclexperience Ltd
-Proof of identification must be provided upon collection of your bicycles and accessories. (E.g. driving licence, passport, photo ID, etc.)
-A damage deposit is required when hiring equipment and will take the form of an open debit/credit card voucher, which will be returned to you at the end of the day.
-Equipment booked and paid for in advance is guaranteed and will be available for pick-up anytime during opening hours on the first day of hire. On our Isle of Wight One Day Get-away the latest that you may leave is 10.30am. If arriving after this time then we reserve the right to downgrade the hire to the New Forest area to ensure you return the bikes before closing.
-Please always contact us as soon as possible if you wish to make changes to the date you have booked on our day hire products. Under normal circumstances we do not offer refunds for bikes paid for in advance, but with sufficient notice can offer you another booking date (subject to availability). Failure to notify us in advance of non-attendance (no later than 10.30 am on the day of hire) will result in any payment made being retained.
-Equipment booked and not paid for in advance, can be held up until 11.30am on the first day of hire. After this time the bikes will be made available to hire to other customers.
-Please cycle sensibly, with respect for others and the natural habitat.
Cyclists are expected to follow The Highway Code - in particular the 'Extra Rules for Cyclists' (Rules 187-211).
-Anyone cycling in a discourteous or unsafe manner while in possession of Country Lanes equipment will have the equipment re-possessed by Country Lanes with no refund of hire charges.
-Cycle helmets are provided free of charge and all cyclists are strongly advised to use them. Adults who decline our offer of a free helmet must sign the Helmet Waiver declaration.
-All young persons (aged under 18 years old) MUST wear a cycle helmet and they will not be issued a bicycle without one. Our rule for young persons: No Helmet - No Hire!
-Young persons (aged under 18 years old) will only be issued with equipment when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
-Cycles should be locked to a permanent fixture whenever left unattended. The bicycle should be secured through the front wheel and frame. Theft of an unlocked bicycle will be the responsibility of the hirer who will be subject to a charge of up to £200 to cover the replacement of the bicycle and its accessories.
-All equipment must be returned to the site from which it was issued before closing time. We reserve the right to charge for late returns.
-Country Lanes reserves the right not to hire equipment to an individual.
Before requesting payment Country Lanes will confirm the full details of your reservation using your preferred method of communication.
Upon receipt of your guaranteed reservation we'll send you a Country Lanes trip confirmation pack containing information about getting to the start, a detailed trip itinerary, interesting facts about the area to which you are travelling and other useful pre-trip information.
All contracts made are between you and Country Lanes
Methods of Payment
Your Country Lanes reservation is not guaranteed until payment has been received.
We accept payment by credit card (Access & Visa), UK debit cards, bank transfer and Sterling Bankers draft.
A deposit of £100 per person is required to guarantee your cycling holiday.
For ease of administration Country Lanes will automatically debit payment card bookings 60 days before the trip start when final payment becomes due.
Larger deposit amounts may be required on cycling holidays of a high value. You will be advised of the required deposit amount when the availability of your trip is confirmed.
All Country Lanes reservations received within 60 days of trip start date require payment in full.
All cancellations are subject to an administration fee of £50 per person. The remainder of your deposit is fully refundable if we receive written notification 60 days before trip start date. If we are notified less than 60 days in advance the following cancellation fees will apply:

Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason.
If you are unable to come on your holiday due to serious illness, jury service or any other serious reason, your booking can be transferred to another person up to seven days before trip start, providing the replacement person pays a £50 transfer fee.
Country Lanes trip itineraries are well researched and carefully planned but we are constantly striving to enhance the enjoyment of our cycling holidays. As our experience grows and conditions change, we may find improvements to what we have planned and make alterations for everyone's benefit. Sometimes we may be required to alter an itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. In these rare cases, Country Lanes will endeavour to make alternative arrangements while maintaining quality standards and minimising route changes.
We highly recommend that you obtain Travel Insurance to cover unexpected costs due to illness, accident, lost luggage, trip interruption or cancellation. Overseas residents must obtain insurance cover in their home country.
In order to comply with the EEC Package Holiday Directive (1992) Country Lanes issues each client with an International Passenger Protection insurance policy as a means of safe-guarding client payments until such time as the trip is run. It is our legal obligation to provide insolvency insurance for package tours and we do so under the advice of Hampshire County Trading Standards Office. If you have questions or concerns about the security of your payments to Country Lanes, please call us and we'll be happy to explain.
With the exception of some of our budget holidays, all our accommodations include private bath/shower and feature television, tea & coffee-making facilities, hair dryers and other amenities. There are a limited number of rooms for single occupancy and these always attract a supplement.
Bed & breakfast holidays include full English breakfast each day, but do not include any other meals.
Helmets are provided free of charge on all Country Lanes trips and we strongly encourage their use. Our soft-shell helmets weigh only 7.5 ounces and can be adjusted to comfortably fit all head sizes. All our helmets meet ANSI performance standards
As a condition of booking with Country Lanes all persons under 18 years of age are required to wear a helmet. Adults declining to wear a helmet will be required to sign our Helmet Waiver form.
