Terrain

Cycling in the New Forest is by and large gently undulating, making it a suitable destination for all cyclists. We offer a variety of routes using a mixture of off road trails & quiet roads, please take a look at some options below:

Brockenhurst Trails - 6.7 miles

A great option if you only have a limited time, particularly friendly for little legs so the kids will love it! Get close to nature, grab an ice cream, and relax in the unique New Forest countryside.

Standing Hat - 8.7 miles

Plenty of traffic-free off-road cycling so those youngsters with more stamina can feel the freedom of life on two wheels. The extensive network of tracks takes you through the Forestry Commission's enclosed woodlands at the Standing Hat and Pignal Inclosures.

Tall Trees & Deer Fields - 14.5 miles

A pleasant whole-day ride taking in both heaths and forests. Visit the National Park's Arboretum, share a lunchtime pint with the locals at the Oak Inn in Bank and keep an eye out for deer in the famous Deer Fields. 11 and 8.5 mile versions of this route also available.

Tom's Route - 13.7 miles

Straying further afield to the Beaulieu River area, Tom's Route takes in Hatchet’s Pond and Beaulieu Heath with an option to stop at the Turfcutter’s Arms for lunch.

Sea Shore and Shopping - 14.4 miles

Pedal down to the New Forest coast at Lymington for a little retail indulgence in the High Street, and catch the English Channel views across the Solent. This ride uses quiet country lanes rather than off-road tracks.

Burley Loop - 22.7 miles

The more adventurous will want to undertake a longer circular forest ride visiting Burley. This full day ride takes in large sections of the off-road network and the old railway line on the return trip to Brockenhurst.

Beaulieu & Buckler's Hard - 23 miles

Forest tracks take you across to Hatchet’s Pond on Beaulieu Heath, and quiet roads bring you to Beaulieu - famous for the Palace and motor museum - and Buckler’s Hard where some of Nelson's ships were constructed. There is an off road finish to this ride.
