Cycle Quest

A Cycle Quest event is a great way to reward, entertain and motivate staff, and is equally suitable for those wanting to share some time with friends in a beautiful place and have a laugh. Our events are a bit different and our emphasis is on having fun and healthy exercise in the great outdoors.

What is a Country Lanes Cycle Quest?

This is not a race so riders of all abilities have an equal chance.  There is a prize, but the emphasis is on personal achievement and team work. At the start of the day the group is split into a number of teams and then sent of at intervals to complete the Quest. Our standard Cycle Quest is a full day event taking around 5-6 hours to complete.

Elements of our standard Cycle Quest event

• On route you will have to answer a series of questions and solve a number of riddles only possible if you complete the full route
• The photo challenge will score essential points
• The all important team photo will be judged by our team of esteemed experts. We decide the theme on the day
• The riders follow a route sheet during the ride to allow them to concentrate on all the things they must do
• We provide each rider with a filled water bottle which is theirs to keep, and an energy bar

• Post ride pub quiz to help decide the winning team
• To make things more difficult OS Maps with a route marked on them can be issued
• Part day Cycle Quest Events
• Murder Mystery element to the challenge can be included as part of the lunchtime break 

 

What about refreshments?

A lunchtime stop can be built into the ride allowing your group to come back together.

Drinks and snacks can be provided at the end of the ride, or Country Lanes can liaise with a local hotel, restaurant or tea-room to provide a suitable end to your day's activity.

Where does the Cycle Quest take place?

Our Country Lanes cycle centre is located in Brockenhurst in the heart of the New Forest. If your own hospitality includes an overnight stay it may be possible to start and finish at your hotel.

Our normal Cycle Quest rides are either 8.5 or 15.5 miles

What’s Included
Quality equipment hire, expert route advice, and provision of the Cycle Quest event. This includes a medal for each rider on the winning team, and certificates for all finishers. Each rider will receive a water bottle at the start of the day filled with energy drink, and an energy bar.

What’s Not Included
Each team will need to bring with them a digital camera with a viewing screen for the photo challenge element of the day.

Price
From £28.50 per person (inc. VAT) for a full day event

This is based on a minimum group size of ten people.

Sounds great, how do I book?

In the first instance please let us know your requirements by calling or emailing us. Once we have this information we can then provide a tailored quote for your event. We would normally suggest you start organising your event at least two months prior to the start date. Booking an event requires a non refundable deposit payment, the value of which will be confirmed in your quote.
