Cycle Quest

A Cycle Quest event is a great way to reward, entertain and motivate staff, and is equally suitable for those wanting to share some time with friends in a beautiful place and have a laugh. Our events are a bit different and our emphasis is on having fun and healthy exercise in the great outdoors.

What is a Country Lanes Cycle Quest?

This is not a race so riders of all abilities have an equal chance.  There is a prize, but the emphasis is on personal achievement and team work. At the start of the day the group is split into a number of teams and then sent of at intervals to complete the Quest. Our standard Cycle Quest is a full day event taking around 6 hours to complete.

Elements of our standard Cycle Quest event

• On route you will have to answer a series of questions and solve a number of riddles only possible if you complete the full route
• The photo challenge will score all important points, given for taking pictures of certain things along the way. You have a highly trained teddy to take with you to assist with this!
• The all important team photo will be judged by our team of esteemed experts. We decide the theme on the day
• The riders follow a route sheet during the ride to allow them to concentrate on all the things they must do

• To make things more difficult OS Maps with a route marked on them can be issued
• Part day Cycle Quest Events

What about refreshments?

A lunchtime stop can be built into the ride allowing your group to come back together.

At an additional cost we can provide each rider with a filled cycle bottle which they can keep, and an energy bar.

Drinks and snacks can be provided at the end of the ride, or Country Lanes can liaise with a local hotel, restaurant or tea-room to provide a suitable end to your day's activity.

Where does the Cycle Quest take place?

Our Country Lanes cycle centre is located in Brockenhurst in the heart of the New Forest. If your own hospitality includes an overnight stay it may be possible to start and finish at your hotel.

Mileage Options
Our normal Cycle Quest rides are either 8.5 or 15.5 miles

What’s Included
Quality equipment hire, expert route advice, and provision of the Cycle Quest event. This includes a medal for each rider on the winning team, and certificates for all finishers.

What’s Not Included
Each team will need to bring with them a digital camera with a viewing screen for the photo challenge element of the day.

Sounds great, how do I book?

In the first instance please let us know your requirements by calling or emailing us. Once we have this information we can then provide a tailored quote for your event. We would normally suggest you start organising your event at least two months prior to the start date. Booking an event requires a non refundable deposit payment of 25% of the total amount.

Murder Mystery Ride

Originally designed as a charity fundraiser event, our Murder Mystery ride has become infamous and no team has yet to fully solve the crime!

The Murder Mystery element can be used as an optional extra for our Cycle Quest events, or as a stand alone challenge.

The challenge is issued as a pack which riders take out with them and can work through during the course of the ride.

• For special events we can organise that clues are collected during the course of the ride from various locations.
